That’s right! Last year’s global photowalk went beyond being a huge success. And it generated so much interest in Photowalks. Heck, we even started a Flickr group for Arizona photowalks.
Unfortunately I didn’t keep up with the group. Too distracted starting a new business over the past few months. But I’ve got my head above water now and I’m ready for another photowalk!
Weeks ago I received an e-mail from Photoshop User’s folks regarding the 2nd worldwide photowalk. They were looking to see if past leaders would like to do it again. I said sure!
The homepage for the Photowalk will be at the following link. Sure, I haven’t updated it yet. Give me a few moments and I will.
Now comes the big question. I know many readers of this blog were also participants in the last walk. I’ve got a very serious question for you.
Where should we walk?
Last year we covered a good part of downtown Prescott. We could do that again this year. Or we could do a different type of walk. I was considering a photowalk at Watson Lake Park. I had many requests about it last year. Heck, I live in the Dells and I love shooting them several times a week. The place never gets old.
Oh, finally, the date. July 18th, 2009. Whatever we decide this week, the photowalk will have an early start. Probably 7:30 at the latest. It’s going to be the height of summer here in Prescott, and I don’t want to cook anyone by doing the walk later in the day.

Although I love shooting in the Dells I’m going to have to vote for another downtown walk. I think it will offer allot more diversity in the photography and it’s an easier walk (less chance of Rich dropping his camera

The downtown area is what folks from out of town think of when one says “Prescott”. And there’s shade around the courthouse. I think we should start at 7am, so set the meeting time at 6:30?
Last year’s photowalk was great fun.
I agree with both Dagny and Josh…we’ve got to get out there early because it heats up so much! Plus? STILL tons to photo downtown…we just need to think of a great route. This shouldn’t be too hard, eh?
