The 5D Mark II and Tsunami on the Square

For this year’s Tsunami on the Square I had my 5D on hand.  I’ll look forward to photographing future events in Prescott with it as well.  And I’ve got to say, I’m happy with the results the camera put out.

The bulk of the event seemed to always put me at a distance from what was happening.  If you don’t setup a chair early you’re out of luck.  That’s why I have 0 shots from the evening’s performances!  :)   And even with my police officer magnet (a.k.a. the 70-200mm lens) I didn’t get into all of the days events.  But the 5D and 70-200mm f/4 L IS lens did their job for the parade, and I’m just pleased.

Below you’ll find a few favorite shots from the parade.  The only edits were a few crops, that’s it (no color manipulation, etc).  Take a look for yourself, and I think you’ll agree that the camera performs……

Very, very nice. But I don’t think it’s just the camera that performs;I think the photographer had a lot of input as well.

  2. Thanks Betsy! That was very nice to say. I’m always learning. And I’m happy to say that the latest tools in my kit are helping as well. :)
