A vintage truck fully restored!

Over this past weekend several events went on in Prescott.  The downtown was packed full of people wandering on the courthouse square and Whiskey Row.  The parking spaces were full, and our normally free parking garage was charging $5 per car to get in.  A busy weekend to be certain.

The square hosted the latest Mountain Artists Guild show.  I have to say there weren’t as many folks displaying this year as there was last year.  Wonder if this whole economy is hitting the artistic community harder than I’d thought……

In addition to the 2 day event on the square we had an additional treat.  Well, treat for me at least…..  The Mountain Top Street Rodders were in town displaying their amazing custom antique vehicles.  Gotta say, there’s nothing like HDR and antique cars.  Seriously, the results are always pretty darned cool!

I walked around for a while shooting too many classic cars to count.  A little bit of everything was on display this weekend.  And I think there was something for everyone.

Shooting car shows just isn’t the easiest.  The vehicles are usually packed in close together.  Getting just one car is almost impossible.  Combine that with all the other people strolling around and looking into the windows of these classics and you have mission impossible.

Seriously, I found myself wishing that I could shoot each car independently in the Granite Dells.  You know, dramatic backdrop, car on it’s own, etc?

Well, for the classic car fans out there here’s a few more photos.  By the way, the last car’s paint job is beyond risque’.  You’re warned, and you can skip the last pic.  The car’s graphic has nudity, but the car was way too cool to pass up.  Once again, you’ve been warned……  🙂

Great paint jobs, excellent detail.....fun show!
