After a few weeks of roaming, the Airstream is settled back in Prescott for a couple of weeks.  We’ll be starting in with a new client tomorrow, and I thought I’d share the latest updates from The Airstream Chronicles.

Two more National Monuments

IMG_7844I’m happy to say we got to spend some time at two more National Monuments, which is great.  Visiting Organ Pipe again, and White Sands, we definitely collected enough material for full articles on Living in Tin.  That was one of the big goals for this most recent trip, and things are looking good.

The total trip (with the route we took) summed up to nearly 1700 miles.  A bit of driving to be sure.  I’m happy to say though that we got to sit tight at each location for a while, although there was a lot of “extra” driving for our White Sands visits.

Changes at Living In Tin

Over the course of the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about our subscription site, and how to add even more to it.  We cover visiting locations like the National Monuments, and I’ve talked about setting up some tutorials as well.  In fact, my full Lightroom Class is available on Living in Tin now.  In addition to that one, we also have a great tutorial up about photographing the night sky (from our Hovenweep visit).

We’re going to take things a little further.  Several new full length articles and videos are in the queue!  Coming up very soon, “Travel Photography Basics.”  Then we’ll be doing “Digital SLR Basics,” and finally a quick tutorial on “Post Production on the Road.”

IMG_7855Everyone has got some kind of camera now.  People are using Flickr and Instagram like crazy on their travels.  And we’re going to help out with some simple tips for getting those travel shots you’ve always wanted.  So keep an eye out for that.

Finally, we’ve changed our subscription pricing after getting input from several readers and potential readers.  For current subscribers, we’ll be extending your subscriptions.  And for new ones, you can start going through all of our articles and tutorials for as low as $6 for a month.

If you’re interested in new places to travel in the Southwest, and you’d also like to improve your travel photography skills, this is for you!

What’s up next?

For the next 3 to 4 weeks we’ll be in the Prescott area working with a few new clients.  After that, we’ll be heading back to Chihuahua National Monument, and some interesting stuff is in store there.  That’s all I’ll say about that for the moment……

So, there’s the wrap.  The big article on Organ Pipe will be up next week, so stay tuned.
