Over the course of traveling around the Southwest I’ve come across some pretty amazing “Boondocking” locations.  A personal favorite is out in Borrego Springs.  Another is outside of Wickenburg where you can camp with Saguaros around you.  Actually there are many favorite sites.  And this picture above is from another.

The Monument in question is one I haven’t visited before.  In total I’ve been to the Vermillion Cliffs, Grand Staircase, Sunset Crater & Wupatki, Hovenweep, Canyon of the Ancients, and Rainbow Bridge National Monument.  Since we arrived back in Colorado I’ve been to one more.  But I’m not going to talk about it today.  We’ll save that for when we officially start our “RV’ers Guide to the National Monuments,” project.  Pretty amazing place though.  Camping at the Monument, multiple BLM sites, and several commercial parks nearby.

The Airstream will fit nicely there!

In order really dig into creating this guide we need the time and resources to do it properly.  That’s why we launched our Kickstarter several weeks ago.  For years I’ve freely shared favorite spots, photo tips, photoshop tips, travel stories and the rest.  And I’ll continue doing it when I can.  But this particular project is going to take some time and dedication.  And that’s why we’re asking for every reader’s help in getting our project backed and on its way.

Oh, and the Airstream will be staying at this campsite next week.  I’m looking to do some star trail and Milkyway photos!
