Show day at the Ian Russell Gallery – Everybody’s Hometown

Dark RowYup, today is the Hometown show day.  Boy am I tired!

I’m betting Ian is more tired than me.  He’s the “layout” guy in the gallery.  He hangs everything, arranges everything, etc.  He’s got a good eye for that type of stuff.  And he stayed late last night finishing the arrangement.  I’m sure we’ve got more to do this morning.

Personally this has been a long week.  I’ve been printing, and then printing, and then printing some more.  Then there’s the veneering…..ah yes, back cramps from that.

I can’t even count the number of new prints, canvases, and minis that have been produced in the past week.  Yesterday I tried to get a handle on the number of prints so Jantina could make some new signage.  I’m sure I missed some of the new prints.  🙂

So, tonight’s the night.  I hope everyone has fun and that I don’t take a nap in the middle.  🙂  If you’re in the Prescott area stop by if you can.  Tonight is “Art Walk” (happens every fourth Friday), so there’s plenty to see beyond our gallery.  But make sure you stop by and see us along your route!  🙂

  1. Have a ton of fun – you can sleep tonight! Again, I wish I were there. Unfortunately, I’m sitting in the airport in Manchester… On the upside, it’s the only airport I know of with free Wifi.
