A hiccup in my WordPress process

Richard Charpentier Notes from Rich, RLC Design 1 Comment

Today I noticed that yesterday’s post never got posted.  Odd, but true.

See, I’ve been using the WordPress feature that allows you to set a date for publication of something you wrote earlier.  Yesterday’s post was actually written Tuesday.  I was on a roll that day and decided to continue blogging, but I told WordPress to post it on Thursday morning.  It didn’t do it, so I had to post it a short while ago.

The future publication date feature has always worked well for me up until this latest upgrade on WordPress.  This is the second time I’ve have to manually make WordPress publish a future dated post.  Guess I’ll have to check their forums and see if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

See, next Tuesday’s post is already written as well.  It’s ready to roll, but marked to publish on Tuesday.  When I get on a roll with blogging I can create a few articles and let Worpdress roll them out for me on a daily basis.  Slick, eh?  🙂

On a totally different note……

I’m working on changing my personal blogging schedule, and you might have noticed it.  I’m going to take Saturdays and Sundays off from the blog.  Monday posts will catch up from the weekend and add any other random items I’d like in.  Tuesdays and Thursdays will be “tech tips” type days, or photo information days as well.  Wednesdays and Fridays could be any kind of random stuff.  You’ll just have to wait and see.

Of course, when I take big trips like the upcoming Borrego Springs trip I’ll make every effort to post every day.  I enjoy doing daily wraps on my trips.  They sum it up for me nicely when traveling.

So, there it is.  Sorry yesterday’s post didn’t actually pop up until today.  I’ll work on that, and on some interesting weekday content going forward.  And I’m looking foward to less internet time on the weekends and more time out tromping around!

With all that said, have a great weekend all!
