Thursday the Airstreams really started rolling in.  A local AZ chapter rally took place over the weekend, and it was a pretty interesting one!

22 Airstreams arrived for the weekend’s rally.  6 Class A’s that I counted.  That’s a lot of Class A Airstreams.  There were also new and old trailers along with the bigger versions.  Pretty cool to see that many Airstreams here in the park.

I got to spend a good deal of time with the group.  Some pretty nice people to be sure.  And I think everyone enjoyed visiting Prescott.

Yesterday a large group from the rally went into town for a walking tour of the city.  They spent a little more than an hour and a half walking around enjoying my home town.  Many commented on what a great place this is.  Don’t I know it!  I picked this spot two years ago, and I’m still happy with the decision!

After the walking tour a few folks stopped by the gallery to look around and visit.  Everybody enjoyed themselves, and I think they were wowed by the number of artists we host at the gallery.  Put a smile on my face to hear all the wowing at the whole gallery!

Late afternoon I helped judge a photo contest.  Several attendees submitted photos to my new friend Warren (former cinematographer) and we reviewed the shots that were taken throughout Saturday.  The winner?  A great humming bird nesting shot!  Way too cool!

Toward sunset another new friend, Bernie, joined me for a walk into the Dells.  We went up to one of my favorite perches and Bernie got to take in the whole view of the Granite Dells.  He also got to fire off a few photos with his new 5D Mark II (wow, they’re everywhere).  I’d say he enjoyed the hike……he went back out again this morning!

There’s the wrap on the rally gang.  It was a good time, and as usual, everyone I met was extremely pleasant.  🙂

  1. Rallies are so fun, no? A chance to meet new people with new stories! I love the picture of the Airstream (of course) and the sunset photos are super great as well! I think Bernie was a fantastic sport to climb all around in the rocks!!
