Catching up from the last few days

Richard Charpentier Notes from Rich Leave a Comment

The blog has been neglected again.  It does happen more often now.  I really think I blog more when in the Airstream.  Ah well, I was keeping busy the past few days, and that’s part of the reason why the blog has been neglected.

Lightroom 4 Class Success

Saturday I spent the whole day at the Art Store here in Prescott.  It was my intro to Lightroom 4 Class.  I have to say, a successful day indeed.  A packed house, good information, great questions…….what more could you ask for from a class day?

I will be announcing the next Lightroom 4 class this week and putting up a signup via Paypal.  The class will be held end of September.  If the response to the last class is any indicator you’ll want to sign up the moment I put the link up.  The last class filled in under a week.

The Fund Drive Continues!

Currently we’re stuck at 10% of the way to the funds needed to get the Airstream out onto the road for the month of August.  Given the goal is to raise the extra money before August (July 20th) I’m uncertain as to whether or not we’ll reach the mark.

Going forward I’ll be posting photos on this blog that directly link to Zenfolio to see if that helps drive sales.  Anything to help make a better August.  August is the month my business falls off a cliff every year.  Print clients all go out of town, and it only makes sense to find another way to generate revenue so I’m not selling off personal belongings to remain in business for a month.  Hence the push for some web sales to make a better month!

For you marketing types out there……  Any deep thoughts on raising revenues during a consistently down month?

Well, we’ve still got a few weeks.  Please help get the word out by linking this post on Facebook, retweeting on Twitter, etc.  And if you like my work, go ahead and purchase a print or two for yourself.

4th of July Canvas Sale Continues!

At the gallery we’re still doing our big canvas sale for 4th of July.  This weekend somebody snapped up the 32×48 “Everybody’s Hometown.”  That was number 10 of 25.  And the discount on it was steeper than previously announced here on the blog last week.  Wheeling and dealing, right?

If you haven’t been into the gallery lately and you’re in the area, stop by!  Ian is also offering discounts on his canvas pieces.  The sale will wrap up this Friday, so if there’s a piece that’s been on your mind stop in sooner rather than later!!!
