Getting “the” shot

Uh, yeah, trying to get “The” shot is not the easiest thing in the world to do, especially when it’s “The” shot of yourself and you’d rather be behind the camera…..  But today I had to work on getting the shot for an upcoming magazine article on The Ian Russell Gallery and R.L. Charpentier Photography.  Talking to the interviewer he suggested that we could get a shot for the article since I am in fact a photographer……

Oh great, I gotta take a picture of myself again?  Geeze, somebody get me a camera phone, liquor me up, and I’ll be all set.  I mean really, I see a lot of great drunk self portraits on Facebook every day.  Maybe I could do it too!  🙂

Well, today Ian popped down to the gallery for a few and we setup a few shots.  Not a ton mind you.  We only needed one photo after all.

So, here’s what I came away with that I sort of like.  Haven’t Photoshopped it yet, but when I do I’ll look a lot more buff and tan.

Of course, Ian likes a different one…..but we don’t need to show that today….  🙂

  1. If you guys weren’t smiling, this could be one of those ultimate-fighting smackdown challenge shots, with the opponents standing back to back. I bet you could take Ian. We could post it on Facebook.

C’mon, let’s see the one he likes. Don’t keep it all to yourself.
