Just one of those crazy weeks!

This has been the type of week I’ve been dreaming about.  Actually, the past few weeks have been amazing.

Yesterday I arrived at the gallery a little after 8:00 a.m.  I left the gallery close to 7:30 p.m.  Printing straight through the entire day.  Veneering canvases for well over an hour.  A constant flow of print clients and gallery clients!  I live for those kind of days!

The thing is, the past few weeks have been non-stop printing.  I’m blowing through crates of stretcher bars faster then I can order them in.  That’s a good problem to have I’d say.

Over the past year the business has managed to pay for itself, and that’s good.  Now it’s time for it to start paying me.  If it doesn’t then I’ll be in trouble soon.  You can only live off of savings for so long you know!

So, I think we’ve been “discovered” finally.  Or it might just be the holiday season.  Who knows?  Whatever it is, I hope it continues.

One big positive?  Robert Jamason is getting picked up by several other galleries.  Looks like we’re not the only folks who’ve been wowed!  And Robert has decided that he will be printing with me, and only me.  He popped up an interesting notice on his site regarding prints, and I truly appreciate it!  I know he tried out multiple print shops, and apparently I was the only one to match his stuff on canvas the way he wanted it!

Here’s hoping word gets out to other photographers!  It sure would be great to grow this business further.  Who would I really like to reach?  I guess my niche market is HDR photographers.  There’s something to printing HDR that regular print shops seem to miss.  I’ve noticed it, Robert has noticed it, and I’m hoping the rest of the HDR community realizes it and pays me a visit!

  1. Cool tagline for you indeed Rich, and deservedly so. I gotta get in touch with Rob and have him on the show! Glad to hear your business is picking up…enjoy the success my friend – it too is also rightly deserved.
