So long Georgia, the Airstream is headed to Tennessee

Richard Charpentier Notes from Rich Leave a Comment

Tomorrow morning we’ll be pulling out of the Dahlonega area and pointing ourselves to Tennessee.  We’ll be stopping through there quickly to say hi to a friend, and then we’ll retrace last year’s journey to Colorado.  I really liked that ride!

I’m sorry to say goodbye to my friends over at Hiker Hostel.  Leigh has been gone since the weekend as she is off guiding a hiking trip in Maine.  We had plenty of time to catch up with Josh though.  It was good to see both of them, and to see their amazing business!

I will say that I am looking forward to getting back to air that isn’t so thick with water.  However, we’ve heard about all the flooding going on in Arizona today.  It sounds pretty scary.  The crazy part is that Arizona needs the water desperately, just not all at once!  Seeing the flood warnings in Black Canyon City reminded me of this Spring.  I hope all is well at the park we stayed at, as it was a nice one!  I actually saw images of RV’s being washed down roads.  Eeeek!
