The Airstream Studio / Lab

No, it’s not a Heisenberg type lab…sheesh.

Since 2006 the Airstream has been both home and office.  For years some of my favorite images I’ve ever produced have been worked on in the Airstream.  And often, the Airstream was along with me while I was shooting those photos.

As I’ve said before, the dinette isn’t a great place to work.  Someday I either have to create that wrap around desk, or find a larger Airstream to rig up something more of an office.  I keep my eyes open constantly for Airstream listings…..  And I keep pondering the remodel of this 25 foot Safari.

So, what’s on the dinette today?

  • Wireless Keyboard
  • Macbook Pro
  • Uncalibrated Viewsonic Monitor (I don’t edit images on that monitor)
  • Wireless mouse
  • Bose Bluetooth speaker
  • Batteries to be charged
  • A Drobo hidden behind the monitor
  • A Lacie Portable drive hidden behind the laptop
  • Blue Yeti USB micropone.

No room for a printer at all.  Ah well, it’s worked this long, it can work a little longer.

If you’ve got office space ideas for an Airstream or any other RV, I would love to see what you’ve done.  Drop a note, leave a comment, smoke signals, Morse Code, whatever!

Oh, and yes, that is a GoPro attached to the overhead cabinet!
