Months ago I did several images and color matches of a 19th / 20th century painter. The originals were headed off to Sothebys for auction. You don’t even want to know the valuation of the pieces. Big money. Very unnerving to have in the studio.
Well, the owners of those paintings returned again. One more piece that’s heading to London. The assessed value on this little painting? $40,000.
Hmmmm…..$40K? Yeah, don’t think any of my works will ever sell at that price……
