The title of this post was actually taken out of my web statistics viewer this morning. While doing my daily check in on the blog I saw that someone did a search with the sentence above.
The search stopped me cold in my tracks. Really? Is there anything worth seeing at the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument? Wow…..just wow.
Here’s my thinking. There’s too much to see in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. You can spend weeks, or even months in the area and not see everything there is. Of course, it’ll take work.
Canyons, sandstone formations, launching white water rafting tours, wildlife, hiking, sand dunes……all in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. But unlike so many parks, this isn’t a “tour from your windshield” kind of a place. You’ve got to get out of the vehicle and take a walk. Sometimes a long walk. Or you’ve got to off road for hours, then take a long walk.
Personally, I find the Vermillion Cliffs to be one of the most visually stunning places I’ve ever visited. I love the place! So yes, there is plenty to see there, you’ve just got to be willing to put forth a little effort.
