Live from Tennessee…..

After cutting the day super short yesterday we completed the journey to Lawrenceburg, TN.  The Airstream is now happily parked in the same place it was at the start of November last year.  $10 per night for water and electric.  You can’t beat that, not at all.  And after a month of staying in lots of expensive locations I’m happy that our nightly average cost will be on the decline.

Beyond being a super cheap place to stay, this is a nice and quiet park.  That’s a big plus for me whenever I stay anywhere.  Quiet…. Oh yeah, I’m a fan.  What’s the park name?  It’s the Veteran’s Memorial Park here in Lawrenceburg.  It’s a small park with only a few spaces.  And it’s not listed on Allstays, the Ultimate Campground App, or my GPS.  The only reason we know about it?  My friend Jason told me as he lives right down the road.  It’s a city park, very well maintained, and it doesn’t see a lot of traffic.

From here we’ll be heading back on to the Natchez Trace Parkway down into Mississippi.  Currently I don’t know if we’ll be leaving Saturday or Sunday.  It occurred to me that the park we’re planning on staying at on the Mississippi River might be pretty darned full on Saturday.  So I’ll do some calling and find out.  If we stay through Sunday that’s okay.  We have a few things to work on for updating our RV’ers Guide to the National Monuments of the Southwest, and we can do that work from here.  Oh, 24 days remain on the project, so help out and donate a Starbuck’s Grande…..or more if you like!

I’m off to turn on the fan and enjoy the coolness in the Airstream.  Baking outside with one million percent humidity.
