One of those manic days at the gallery

Another one of my "Thinking in the color" toying attempts.

I seem to be having one of those days where I’m going a million miles an hour and accomplishing nothing.  Ever have one of those days?

This morning I sat down to do a little more work on the Motor Lodge’s web site, but I just couldn’t get into a groove.  Every time I got into the site work somebody would come into the gallery.  No complaints with that, customers are welcome.  Especially since the sidewalk in front of the shop is still being blocked off and torn up.  Yup, the saga continues on that front.

The interesting thing about days like today…..lots of people in, but no sales.  Mostly vendors, folks stopping in to chat, and the rest.  So, constant flow of people, lots of talking, lots of explaining the gallery.  Ah well, such a day happens.  And they’re often exhausting.

Now here I am at the end of the day.  Only about an hour of working on the website under my belt.  Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow.

It was such a strange day that I’ve lost track of what I even wanted to blog.  I had an idea and point to this post, but two more sets of people came in to chat for the last hour.  I think I might start charging for my time……  🙂

  1. Seems the person (or thing) thinking in color is just off screen to the left… Please remember I am not a photographer, nor an artist.

Maybe it is a little too obvious if you are in a halo of color looking at the bleakness surrounding our existence on this mortal plane, although the scenery in AZ is spectacular.

I really like the photo Rich. I just haven’t commented in a while.

Thanks for the comment Doug……Yeah, still toying with ideas. 🙂 I’ve already submitted to the contest with the last photo, but always playing around with ideas.

You almost went all philosophical there….age getting to you? 😉

Good to hear from you! Be good!

  3. From an “artsy” perspective, I like this photo better that the previous one (tho I love windmills and corrals). It evolves in a natural right to left way… leading the (helpless) eye into the distant horizons, then snapping it back for a “replay.” Subliminal control… that is brushing up against real art. Nice.
    mark.
