The arrival

Richard Charpentier Notes from Rich 4 Comments

The family arrived yesterday!  Yes, they made it through!

There was the “89A incident” though, but they survived it.  Basically, they took a wrong road….89A…..instead of 89.  Bottom line, they got to experience the same type of ride I experienced when finding Prescott.  Freaky drop offs, insane curves, and a place where no RV with a sane driver should go.  Needless to say, I think my Dad will never want to relive the experience!

Do I have pictures?

Yes.

Are they going up tonight?

No.

Busy day, business meeting tonight that went long, etc.

I’ll fill in the blanks more tomorrow.  While my vacation started officially today, the fact that I spent 3 hours at the office tonight gets in the way of really feeling free of work.  Tomorrow starts it off for me!  And I’ll get photos up from today as well.

What’s up tomorrow?

Sedona, ruins in the red rocks, a stop to Rollies, World of Beef Jerky (I wish they had VT beef jerky), the Life is Good store, and some plain old tourism.

Maybe even a quick trip along 89A with my dad as a passenger instead of a driver!

  1. “Freaky drop offs, insane curves, and a place where no RV with a sane driver should go.” not to mention in the pouring rain! ugh! But we lived through it only to go back to Sedona via the other end of 89A!
