naturalhdr (1 of 1)

One of my more "natural" HDRs from the recent Zion Trip

Well, I just wrapped up a call with Jason over at Cannonblogger.com.  Talk about a fun conversation.

Of course, in typical fashion there were many tangents that mostly circled back to the topics at hand.  I swear, ever since reading the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series I can’t help myself with tangents.  Seriously, that series weaved tangents between each book, and you never knew when you were coming back around again.  I’ve got a feeling my coversation with CanonBlogger will be on the same level, only not as funny!  😉

This morning I got up extra early, showered, shaved, shampooed….the works.  Got my butt into the gallery extra early and set up a Skype call with Jason.  Then we got to talking.  The Airstream Chronicles, my photography, HDR, realistic HDR, the works.  Way too much fun!

Of course, we had to play around with the technology first.  A voice came over Skype saying, “This conversation is being recorded.”  What it didn’t tell me was that it was recorded for quality or training purposes.  Hmph.  The Skype recorder people should really think about that one.

After the interview, Jason and I talked for a while longer.  I told him about Bert Gildart, the guy who really inspired me to do more with my photography.  Talked about the gallery, the print business, mountain lions with squirrel puppets…..you know, the standard stuff.  Great conversation, and I might even be invited back.

On the invite back…..I think once he relistens to what we created today, and he tries to cobble the tangents together he may never speak with me again.  But hey, we had fun while talking!

Now it’s back to the real world for the morning.  More CSS work today, web client stuff, and a few print clients are stopping by.  Then tonight I’ve got to get myself ready for the Photo walk.  I even got one of those cool photo walk T-shirts.

Yes, I’m geeky and that’s ok.  CSS work, Photo walk T-Shirts, Three Wolf Moon T-Shirts, references to the Hitchhiker’s Guide, admitting that my computer speaks to me with Radical Edward’s voice….all the signs are there for “geeky.”  That’s ok, it seems to work for me!  Oh, please check out the comments on the 3 Wolf Moon T-Shirt…..you’ll be rolling on the floor in minutes!  🙂

  1. Dear God – please let the 3W1M shirt go… however, the customer photos are classic. Who knew Che, Kim Jong Il AND Bono were inspired by this shirt.

    Tom…..errrr…..I mean, Photography Czar…..

The Three Wolf 1 Moon T-shirt is beyond classic. Frankly I’m afraid to get one as I couldn’t handle the raw power it endows!

By the way, did you see the uber cool customer videos? Yeah, great stuff! 😀

  3. Hi, my sweet, wonderful hubby just ordered me a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS 10.0 Megapixel with 20x zoom! I can’t wait until it gets here and I can start taking pictures with it. I have a Nikon Coolpix 5700 but lately it just won’t focus, so I’ve been getting more and more frustrated. This will be my first Canon.
