The Airstream is parked at the next client site

This morning we took the short drive (relatively speaking) from Prescott to Kingman, AZ.  We’re now parked at the latest client location.  Exciting stuff!

For the next 5 days we’ll be working with the Blake Ranch RV Park and Horse Motel, located right outside of Kingman.  We stayed at the park the other week to meet with the owners and discuss mobilizing their website, and I have to say it’s a pretty nice park.  Right off of I-40 a short way out of Kingman.  Their exit is actually one of my normal stops when I travel to and from Kingman to Prescott…..

There’s a Dunkin Donuts at the Petro near the park…..All New Englanders know what that means!  Sure, I don’t drink regular coffee anymore, or eat donuts, but I can still get a Dunkin Decaf and pretend!

This park has a lot to offer road weary travelers.  Big pull through sites, WiFi throughout the park, close to Kingman without being right in town, and if you’re traveling with your horses, they can accommodate you too.  Additionally the park owners are super pet friendly and they have multiple dog run areas so your pup can have it’s own private run!  There’s a lot more to the park, but I’ll save that for a later post.  I just got the Mac and additional monitor setup, the Drobo is humming away, and the Airstream looks like a mobile computing lab once again.  Time to start setting up for the website rehab!

If you want to see what the site looks like currently just click the link above (second paragraph).  Of course, I’ll be putting up before and afters for next week as well.

  1. Since the RV park-horse combination was intriguing I clicked on your link. I hope the music will be left out of your design. I don’t think I’m the only person who just leaves a site immediately as soon as I’m blasted with music. I find few things more irritating while browsing the web.

Actually, when I first started re-designing the site I left the music out. The park owners are very wedded to the little tune, and said that they have more positive than negative response to it. So I added it back in.

At the bottom of the page (quick scroll down) is the media player and you can pause it (which is what I do).

And yes, I’m of the same mindset as you when it comes to music on a page. I close it fast. But, the clients feel it’s a positive for their site.
