There’s an easier way?

What to do when your self image crumbles? Maybe get a paint scraper and prep the primer...... 🙂

Only moments ago my world view crumbled before my eyes.  All the wasted time.  The silly automation I’ve created to resolve annoying tasks in Photoshop.  The thinking that I figured out really efficient ways to do things…….

Gone.

Why oh why did I waste all of that time…..?  Oh, I know why…….!

I was being cheap.  🙂

Days ago I finally pulled the trigger and purchased OnOne Software’s suite of tools.  I’ve been fighting the urge to purchase their suite for almost a year now.  No justification.  Enough money into the business.  Too many other things that the business needed.  Etc, etc, etc.

Tonight I finally had a few minutes to check out the suite.  They should relabel it “Sweet!”  Seriously.

In 30 minutes of poking around through this software suite I’ve found solutions to many daily tasks that take too much time.  The latest version of Genuine Fractals resolves several issues for my gallery wraps.  I spend time setting up mirrored wraps for clients.  Or working out wrapping with a stretch to the image.  Go figure, Genuine Fractals takes all that extra work right out of it.  There’s more.  A lot more.  I’ve barely scratched the surface.  Some digging will be required.  More importantly, some time will be required too.

On a serious note, I was being cheap.  Hey, struggling small business.  Trying to make it work in a down economy.  That’s been the case.  But the past few weeks have been so productive, so busy, and so exciting that I decided it was time to make the next software purchase for the business.  And I’d been waiting for another sale from OnOne.  Popping by their site the other day I found that they were discounting the whole suite by $150 and I said to myself, “No, not yet.”  Then I got hit with several more rush job canvases same day and I said to myself, “Okay, go for it!”

I’m glad I did it.  Because in 30 minutes of toying with the sweet suite I’ve found so many time savers.  I’m already certain the benefits outweigh the costs.  With that in mind, I can’t wait to start sharing with you what I find in this new addition to my photographic and gallery tool set!

Now I just have to find some time to explore the software!
